Cape Town and Surroundings
Drive along the Atlantic coastline through the up-market suburbs of amongst Sea Point and Clifton to Maidens Cove where you will get a commanding view over The Twelve Apostles mountain range and Camps Bay.
Continue to Hout Bay where you can go on a boat cruise to Duiker Island. Duiker Island is well known for its breeding colony of Cape Fur Seals.
Travel via the picturesque Chapmans Peak Drive, with its magnificent view over Chapmans Bay and Hout Bay. (Chapmans Peak are closed from time to time to remove fallen rocks) Continue your journey to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, well known for its wealth of Fynbos vegetation. At the furthest point you will reach Cape Point where you can take a walk to the lighthouse.
A visit to the Cape of Good Hope is not complete without a visit to Cape of Good Hope, the most south-westerly point of the African continent.
Drive to Simonstown along the False Bay side of the Peninsula. Simonstown is well known for the breeding colony of African penguins (Jack-ass Penguins) at Boulders Beach.
A stopover at Jubilee Square in Simonstown is also worth the while. Here you will see the statue of a Great Dane dog, Just Nuisance, well loved by all the personnel of the nearby Naval Base during the second world war.
Continue your journey through the seaside suburbs of Fishhoek, Kalk Bay, St James and Muizenberg before turning inland towards the City Centre of Cape Town. On the way you will pass the Pollsmoor prison where Nelson Mandela was detained after his imprisonment on Robben Island.En route you will pass landmarks like Genadendal (Presidential estate), University of Cape Town, Mostert's Mill and Groote Schuur hospital (well known for first hart transplant).
Arrive back in Cape Town in the late afternoon.
Drive to Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. Take a walk down Dorp street, lined with Oak trees and Cape Dutch homes.
Visit the nostalgic Oom Samie se Winkel (Uncle Sam's Shop).
Drive through this picturesque University city. Proceed over the Helshoogte mountain pass to Franschhoek (Food and Wine capital of South Africa).
Visit the symbolic Hugeunot Monument and museum in memory of the French Hugeunots that came to South Africa in 1688.
After lunch drive pass the Victor Verster Prison from where Nelson Mandel was released in 1994. Visit Paarl and the Afrikaans Language Monument before returning to Cape Town.
You will be able to sample the "nectar of the gods" when we visit some of the wine estates.
Depart from the Clock tower in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The boat cruise of 20 min will take you to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was detained for the biggest part of his 27 year imprisonment.
On the island you will receive a guided tour of the prison as well as of the island before returning back to Cape Town (Duration - 4 hrs)

Drive through Somerset West and Strand before ascending the Hottentots-Holland mountain via Sir Lowry's Pass.
At the top of the pass you will get a commanding view of False Bay, Somerset West, Strand, Gordon's Bay and the Peninsula.
Drive through the deciduous fruit growing region of Elgin and Grabouw before descending into the Overberg region via Houwhoek Pass.
Continue to Hermanus for a lunch stop. Hermanus is well known for the whales that frequent our coastline from July - October.
Return to Cape Town via the coastal road. En route you will pass through the coastal towns of Kleinmond and Betty's Bay. Enjoy the scenic road along the coast before returning to Cape Town.
Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, founded in 1910, is located at the foot of the back of Table Mountain.
This Botanical Garden is well known for its collection of Cape Fynbos and other indigenous plants. The well manicured Garden provides a tranquil environment to relax in.
The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, is the most popular venue in Cape Town for shopping and restaurants.
It was developed in the original Cape Town Harbour.It offers a variety of Restaurants to suite anybody's taste buds.
Over weekends there are a variety of artist performing their arts.
Ascend to the top of Table Mountain (1061m) with the rotating Cable car. Looking towards the North you will get commanding views over Table Bay, Cape Town CBD, the harbour and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
Looking towards the South you will see the Cape Peninsula. There are also a variety of walkways for the energetic hiker.The operation of the Cable car is subject to weather conditions.
