DAY 4: LAMBERTSBAY - NAMIBIA

We will travel via the province of Northern Cape towards Namibia, the former South West Africa.
This part of South Africa is best known for the flowers that transform the province into an overwhelming display of colors after the South African winter rains in August/September.
We spend the night in Noordoewer, an oasis in the pristine desert landscape of Namibia on the Orange River.

DAY 5: FISH RIVER CANYON

We will visit the enchanting Fish River Canyon, which with a depth of 549 meters, a width of 27 kilometers and a length of 160 kilometers is the second largest canyon in the world. We will walk along the canyon to admire the fantastic views from various angles.

In the morning, we will visit the gost mining Town of Kolmanskop on the outskirts of Luderitz, followed y lunch and a scenic trip to Elizabeth Bay.
We will also visit the "Wild Mustangs" of the Namib Desert. These wild horses have survived the harsh conditions of the Namib Desert for decades.

DAG 7: AUS – NAMIB NAUKLUFT PARK

We will depart and travel to Helmeringhauzen for a comfort stop. This "one horse town" is a welcome stop.
We will continue to our overnight stop near the Namib-Naukluft Park. Afternoon at leisure.
The next two nights we will stay on the edge of the Namib Naukluft National Park, one of the largest reserves in Africa. We drive through beautiful countryside to this park, which includes part of the Namib Desert and the Naukluft Mountains. This is one of the least populated, most expansive and remote areas in the world. The starry sky here is magical!

DAY 8: SOSSUSVLEI

We will have a very early morning departure for our day excursion to Sossusvlei in the Namib desert.
We will take a walk to Deadvlei that is well known for its petrified trees. These trees can be photographed against the backdrop of the white salty clay surface and the towering red dunes around it.
The Namib dessert is the oldest dessert and has the highest sand dunes.
we will return to Sesriem for lunch. We will visit the Sesriem Canyon before returning to the hotel.

DAY 9: SESRIEM - SWAKOPMUND

We will depart at 08:00 and travel to Solitaire for coffee and the famous Apfelstrudle (Apple pie). We will travel to Swakopmund via the Gaub and Kuiseb passes. We will make photo stops at the Tropic of Capricorn, Kuiseb pass, Welwitchias and Moon landscape.
The Welwitschia is a very old and unique plant that has adapted to survive in the harsh conditions.

We will depart at 08:00 and travel to Walvis Bay for a Marine Excursion. We stand a chance to encounter Cape fur seals, Pelicans, Bottle nose dolphins and the very rare Benguela dolphin and Sunfish during the 3 hour boat cruise. Oysters and Champagne will be served on board. We will visit the flamingos before returning to Swakopmund for lunch.
OPTIONAL EXCURSION:
At 14:30 we will be collected for our Living Dessert Experience into the dunes of the Dorob National Park. Here the guides will try and trace the small creatures that live in the dessert, like snakes, gekcos and the "rolling" White Lady spider.

We will continue north with a visit to a Herero market. We might be fortunate to see the dessert elephants en-route. We will continue to our overnight stop.

We will depart at 07:00 and travel to the Mokoro stationwhere we will board the Mokoros. We will be pushed through the canals of the Okavango Delta in a Mokoro by a poler. Makoros are canoes and they were traditionally made by digging out a huge tree.
We will go for short hike where we may encounter some wild animals. After lunch we will return to the Mokoro Station and then onto the Lodge.
There will be an opportunity to do an optional flight over the Okavango Delta.

At 15:30 we will depart on a boat cruise on the Chobe river during which time we will encounter hippos, crocodiles and other animals coming down to the river to quench their thirst.
We will return after the sunset and just before the last light.

DAY 23: KASANE (CHOBE) - VICTORIA FALLS

We will check into the hotel before departing at 16:00 for the Zambezi cruise.
