DAY 1: FLIGHT TO CAPE TOWN 
Depending on your point of departure, an extra day of travelling might be required.

On arrival in Cape Town you will be met by your guide and you will be transferred to the hotel.

  DAY 2: CAPE TOWN 
Spend a leisurely day in Cape Town

DAY 3: CAPE TOWN - LAMBERTSBAY310 Km
We will travel north to the lesser-known part of the Western Cape province and visit Bird Island at Lambert's Bay. A large colony of Cape gannets populates this island.

We will spend the night in a simple hotel in Lambert's Bay or Clanwilliam.

DAY 4: LAMBERTSBAY - NAMIBIA 560 Km
We will travel via the province of Northern Cape towards Namibia, the former South West Africa.

This part of South Africa is best known for the flowers that transform the province into an overwhelming display of colors after the South African winter rains in August/September. 

We spend the night in Noordoewer, an oasis in the pristine desert landscape of Namibia on the Orange River.

DAY 5: FISH RIVER CANYON440 Km
We will visit the enchanting Fish River Canyon, which with a depth of 549 meters, a width of 27 kilometers and a length of 160 kilometers is the second largest canyon in the world. We will walk along the canyon to admire the fantastic views from various angles.

On our journey north we will make a stop at the Naute Dam, which provides irrigation for the production of white corn, grapes, dates and pomegranate, amongst others

 DAY 6: AUS - LUDERITZ - AUS280 Km
In the morning, we will visit the gost mining Town of Kolmanskop on the outskirts of Luderitz, followed y lunch and a scenic trip to Elizabeth Bay.

We will also visit the "Wild Mustangs" of the Namib Desert.  These wild horses have survived the harsh conditions of the Namib Desert for decades.

DAG 7: AUS – NAMIB NAUKLUFT PARK400 Km
We will depart and travel to Helmeringhauzen for a comfort stop.  This "one horse town" is a welcome stop.

We will continue to our overnight stop near the Namib-Naukluft Park.  Afternoon at leisure.

The next two nights we will stay on the edge of the Namib Naukluft National Park, one of the largest reserves in Africa. We drive through beautiful countryside to this park, which includes part of the Namib Desert and the Naukluft Mountains. This is one of the least populated, most expansive and remote areas in the world. The starry sky here is magical!

DAY 8: SOSSUSVLEI  250 KM
We will have a very early morning departure for our day excursion to Sossusvlei in the Namib desert.

We will take a walk to Deadvlei that is well known for its petrified trees. These trees can be photographed against the backdrop of the white salty clay surface and the towering red dunes around it.

The Namib dessert is the oldest dessert and has the highest sand dunes.

we will return to Sesriem for lunch.  We will visit the Sesriem Canyon before returning to the hotel.

DAY 9: SESRIEM - SWAKOPMUND350 Km
We will depart at 08:00 and travel to Solitaire for coffee and the famous Apfelstrudle (Apple pie). We will travel to Swakopmund via the Gaub and Kuiseb passes. We will make photo stops at the Tropic of Capricorn, Kuiseb pass, Welwitchias and Moon landscape. 

The Welwitschia is a very old and unique plant that has adapted to survive in the harsh conditions.

DAY 10: SWAKOPMUND 80 Km
We will depart at 08:00 and travel to Walvis Bay for a Marine Excursion. We stand a chance to encounter Cape fur seals, Pelicans, Bottle nose dolphins and the very rare Benguela dolphin and Sunfish during the 3 hour boat cruise. Oysters and Champagne will be served on board. We will visit the flamingos before returning to Swakopmund for lunch. 

OPTIONAL EXCURSION:

At 14:30 we will be collected for our Living Dessert Experience into the dunes of the Dorob National Park. Here the guides will try and trace the small creatures that live in the dessert, like snakes, gekcos and the "rolling" White Lady spider.

DAY 11: SWAKOPMUND - KAMANJAB  505 Km
We will depart at 08:00 and travel to Henties Bay where we will make a coffee stop. En route we will stop at the Zeila shipwreck at Die Walle. We will leave the coastline an travel inland to Uis for lunch. En route we will make a stop for a photo of Brandberg (highest mountain in Namibia 2864m)

We will continue north with a visit to a Herero market. We might be fortunate to see the dessert elephants en-route. We will continue to our overnight stop.

Overnight:  Oppi-koppi, Khorixas Rest Camp.

DAY 12: KAMANJAB - ETOSHA148 Km
We will visit the Bushmen Rock engravings at Peet Alberts Koppie near Kamanjab and return to Oppi Koppi for an early lunch.

We will travel to Otjikandero to visit the Himbas before proceeding to our overnight stop near Etosha National Park.

DAY 13: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK250 Km
We will have an early breakfast in order to enter Etosha by sunrise for a full day game drive on open vehicles.

DAY 14: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK250 Km
We will depart at 07:00 and travel through Etosha National Park with the bus. We will make a stop at Halali and the viewpoint in the Etosha Pan. 

We will continue to Namutoni.

Boarding:  Breakfast, Etosha.

Overnight:  Mokuti Lodge  

 

 

    DAY 15: ETOSHA - WATERBERG PLATEAU407 Km
We will depart at 08:00 and drive to Tsumeb for a comfort stop. We will continue to Otjiwarongo for a lunch stop and then onto Waterberg Plateau.

DAY 16: WATERBERG PLATEAU - WINDHOEK310 Km
We will depart at 09:00 and do a short city tour of Windhoek before traveling to Gobabis for a lunch stop.  We will continue to our overnight stop.

We will do an afternoon walk to experience the Bushmen walk at 16:30.

  DAY 17: WINDHOEK - BUITEPOS300 Km
We will depart at 09:00 and do a short city tour of Windhoek before traveling to Gobabis for a lunch stop.  We will continue to our overnight stop.

We will do an afternoon walk to experience the culture of the Bushman.

DAY 18: BUITEPOS - MAUN508 Km
We will depart at 08:00 and travel to the Buitepos border where we will go through all the border formalities. We will continue to Ghanzi where we will visit an ATM to withdraw some Pula followed by an early lunch at Kalahari Arms Hotel.

We will continue to Maun. We will encounter a lot of stray animals en route

 DAY 19: MAUN60 Km
We will depart at 07:00 and travel to the Mokoro stationwhere we will board the Mokoros.  We will be pushed through the canals of the Okavango Delta in a Mokoro by a poler.  Makoros are canoes and they were traditionally made by digging out a huge tree.

We will go for short hike where we may encounter some wild animals.  After lunch we will return to the Mokoro Station and then onto the Lodge.

There will be an opportunity to do an optional flight over the Okavango Delta.

Overnight: Cresta Maun / Maun Lodge 

  DAY 20: MAUN - NATA320 Km
We will depart at 08:00 and travel to Planet Baobab for a coffee stop.  Planet Baobab is situated in an area concentrated with Baobab trees.

En-route we will travel through part of the Makgadigadi National Park.

We will continue to Nata Lodge where we will have some time to relax before our excursion to Sua Pan at 16:30.  Sua pan forms part of the greater Makgadigadi National Park and is well known for Flamingos and Kingfishers.

  DAY 21: NATA - KASANE (CHOBE)320 Km 
We will depart at 08:00 and travel to Pandamatenga for a comfort stop. We will continue to Kazangula where we watched the trucks crossing the Zambezi on the ferries. We arrived at Chobe Marina at 13:15.

Boarding: Breakfast.

Overnight: Chobe Safari Lodge /  Chobe Bush Lodge / Chobe Marina

DAY 22: KASANE (CHOBE)  60 Km
We will gather at 05:30 for coffee after which we will depart for a game drive in Chobe. We will returned at about 09:00 for breakfast.

We will have some free time to explore the town of Kasane and a local market.

At 15:30 we will depart on a boat cruise on the Chobe river during which time we will encounter hippos, crocodiles and other animals coming down to the river to quench their thirst.

We will return after the sunset and just before the last light.

Overnight: Chobe Safari Lodge /  Chobe Bush Lodge / Chobe Marina

DAY 23: KASANE (CHOBE) - VICTORIA FALLS 108 Km 
We will be collected from Chobe Marina at 09:00 and transferred to the border. After the border formalities we will continue to Vic Falls for a coffee stop. We will visit the old Baobab tree before having lunch.

We will check into the hotel before departing at 16:00 for the Zambezi cruise.

Everyone will be given free time to choose where they want to have supper.

DAY 24: VICTORIA FALLS 40 Km 
We will depart at 09:00 and visit Victoria Falls. We will returned to the hotel by 12:30 and we will have some time at leisure to explore the town of Vic Falls.

We will enjoy a farewell dinner at Victoria Junction at 18:45.
