DAY 1: DEPARTURE - TANZANIA 
On arrival in Arusha you will be met by a representative and transferred to the hotel.

Overnight:  Kia Lodge / Impala Hotel / African Tulip 

 

 

DAY 2:  ARUSHA – SERENGETI50 Km
You will be collected at 10:00 for your charter flight to Serengeti.  You will be able to leave your luggage in safe keeping while taking a smaller bag with enough clothing for 7 days.  On arrival in Serengeti you will transfer to the Lodge where you will have time to relax.

Overnight:  Serengeti Wildlife Lodge / Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge / Serengeti Sopa Lodge 

DAY 3:  SERENGETI100 Km
We will participate in various game drives throughout the day.  Clients wanting to do an optional extra hot air balloon flight will also be accommodated.

Overnight:  Serengeti Wildlife Lodge / Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge / Serengeti Sopa Lodge   

DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – NGORONGORO170 Km
We will depart at 08:00 and travel to Ngorongoro. En route we will make various photo stops.  Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the facilities and amenities the hotel has to offer as well as the amazing view over the Ngorongoro Crater.  The hotel is situated close to the rim of the Crater.

DAY 5:  NGORONGORO100 Km
We will travel down into the Ngorongoro crater for a full day Game Drive. The crater covers an area of 8292sq. Km and is surrounded by steep cliffs forming an amphitheatre. There are more than 30 000 animals which includes mainly Zebras and Wildebeest.  Ngorongoro also has the highest concentration of predators.

DAY 6:  NGORONGORO – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK220 Km
We will depart at 08:00 and travel to Lake Manyara National Park.  Lake Manyara National Park was established as a National Park in 1960 and is a narrow strip between the Gregory Rift wall and Lake Manyara, an alkaline lake, frequented by 350 different bird species which includes water birds like Flamingos, Pelicans, Kingfishers etc.   We will continue to Tarangire National Park.  Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the amenities the hotel has to offer.

DAY 7:  TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK100 Km
We will make a morning and afternoon game drive.  Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the scenery and the amenities the hotel has to offer.The elephants are known to migrate to the Tarangire River during the drier seasons.

DAY 8:  TARANGIRE – MARANGU234 Km
We will depart after breakfast and travel to Arusha for a lunch stop.  We will travel to Kia Lodge and collect the rest of our luggage. We will continue to our overnight stop in Moshi situated at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa at 5895m.

DAY 9:  MARANGU – DAR ES SALAAM566 Km
We will have an early morning departure for our long drive to Dar Es Salaam.

DAY 10: DAR ES SALAAM - ZANZIBAR60 Km
We will do a city tour of Dar Es Salaam before going to the airport for our flight to Zanzibar.  Afternoon at leisure to explore Stone Town.

Overnight:  Tembo Hotel / Mizingani Seafront Hotel / Hiliki House    

DAY 11:  ZANZIBAR 50 Km
Zanzibar is a melting pot of different cultures with a very strong Arabic influence.  In the morning we will do a Spice Tour which will introduce us to the different spices that are cultivated on the island.  We will visit the Christ Church owned by the Anglican Church in Tanzania. We will also visit the site of the old Slave Market.  Afternoon at leisure to explore the sights and sounds of Stone Town.  Pay a visit to the birth place of Freddy Mercury (Queen) and the Forodhani Food Market.

DAY 12:  ZANZIBAR 
Day at leisure to explore the surrounding area or to relax on the beach or next to the pool.Optional excursion to Jozini National Park.

DAY 13:  ZANZIBAR - DAR ES SALAAM - IRINGA540 Km
We will depart at 06:00 and travel to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for our flight to Dar Es Salaam.  Today is a long drive to Iringa. En route we will travel through the Makumi National Park.  We will follow a scenic route along the Ruaha River before ascending towards Iringa.

DAY 14:  IRINGA - KARONGA463 Km
We will depart at 08:00 and travel to Mbeya where we will make a lunch stop.  We will follow a very scenic mountainous route to the Kyela border post.   After the border formalities we will continue to Karonga situated on the shores of Lake Malawi. We will check into the hotel.  You will have some free time to explore the shores of Lake Malawi and to interact with the local community.

DAY 15: KARONGA - NYIKA NATIONAL PARK285 Km
We will follow the shoreline until Chiweta where we will turn inland to reach Rhumpi for lunch.  We will ascend to the top of the Nyika National Park.  We will check into the lodge.

DAY 16: NYIKA NATIONAL PARK50 Km
After breakfast we will take a drive through the Nyika National Park.  Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the environment.

Overnight:  Chelinda Lodge / Chelinda Camp    

DAY 17:  NYIKA NATIONAL PARK – CHINTHECHE260 Km
After breakfast we will drive back to Rhumpi for a comfort stop.  We will continue to Mzuzu for lunch and then descent down to the shoreline of Lake Malawi.  We will visit Nkatha Bay before driving to our overnight stop south of Nkatha Bay.  En route we will pass through some rubber tree plantations.

Overnight:  Chintheche Inn / Makuzi Lodge    

DAY 18:  CHINTHECHE - SENGA BAY288 Km
We will travel south along the shoreline passing through some sugar cane plantations.  We will make a stop in Nkhotakota.  We will continue to Salima and then onto Senga Bay.  Afternoon at leisure to climb to the top of a hill from where you will get a commanding view over Lake Malawi.

DAY 19:  SENGA BAY - CAPE MCLEAR (LAKE MALAWI NATIONAL PARK) 200 Km
We will travel via Monkey Bay to Cape Maclear.  We will have time to explore the town of Chembe.  After lunch we will transfer to our overnight stop on one of the islands in the Lake Malawi National Park.  The Lake Malawi National Park was the first freshwater Marine Park that was established in 1980.  In 1984 it was accepted as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Overnight:  Kayak Africa (Mumbo Island) / Eagles Nest    

DAY 20:  CAPE MCLEAR (LAKE MALAWI NATIONAL PARK) 
Day at leisure to explore the island or to relax on the sandy beaches.  Snorkel equipment is available for those that would like to explore the underwater wonder with the colourful Cichlid fishes.  Kayaks are also available.

Overnight:  Kayak Africa (Mumbo Island) / Eagles Nest    

DAY 21:  CAPE MACLEAR – LIWONDE NATIONAL PARK50 Km
We will be collected from the island after breakfast.  We will travel south along the shoreline with a stop at Nkopola Lodge.  We will continue to Mangochi for lunch.  We  will travel along Lake Malombe and the Shire River to Liwonde National Park.

Overnight:  Mvuu Lodge / Mvuu Camp    

DAY 22:  LIWONDE NATIONAL PARK  
We will start with early morning coffee before we depart on a Game Drive, followed by breakfast.  The rest of the day will be at leisure to enjoy the facilities the hotel has to offer.  In the afternoon we will do another Game Drive.

Overnight:  Mvuu Lodge / Mvuu Camp    

DAY 23:  LIWONDE NATIONAL PARK – ZOMBA PLATEAU  100 Km
We will depart at 09:00 and travel to Zomba.  We will check into the hotel.  Afternoon at leisure to explore the area on one of the many hikes.

   DAY 24:  ZOMBA PLATEAU – AMSTERDAM 90 Km
We will travel to Blantyre and do a city tour before checking in for the return Flight to Amsterdam. You will depart with Malawian Air (Flight. ) at 17:40 to Dar Es Salaam for your connecting flight with KLM (KLM 569) at 23:10.
